Yes, I said Horsehair ! Carol uses horsehair in a smoking process that leaves random squiggly black carbon markings where the hair was placed on the pot at precisely the right moment. The trick is to do this quickly without burning any fingers. ouch! Let the wind gods be with you. For other animal lovers - I only use tail hairs from live animals and none are harmed in the process. I do accept custom orders to fire your horse's hair on a piece. See samples on Raku
